The picture shown is of an excavator "thumb" that was designed and built from a
customer provided concept sketch. If you think of an excavator or backhoe bucket
as "fingers" this "thumb" provides the missing component needed for the operator
to "grasp" bulky items. The mounting is accomplished with the parts shown on the
second photo. If you are the owner of a demolition company or scrap yard this
type of equipment is designed for you. As a cost savings to this customer we cut
the parts for this "thumb" from HY-80 steel provided by the customer.
The excavator Thumb & mounting hardware we designed and built for a North
Carolina Scrap yard.
We also provide bucket, boom and stick repairs for those excavators that have
either broken or simply worn out components. Any owner of construction equipment
know the expense of having that needed piece of heavy equipment out of service
when a deadline is getting close.
No matter how economical we need to be in order to meet our customer's budget
all of our fabrications are completely cleaned and primed with Sherwin-Williams
rust inhibiting primer.
