In late 1971, TEKA Equipment Corp. opened its offices and incorporated in
Port Washington, NY and began operations to serve the North American market.
In early 1972 the first TEKA mixer was sold to the concrete industry to Kellogg
Brothers, Inc. in Southwick, MA. This mixer is still in operation today.
Since then, producers throughout North America in the Precast/Prestress, Pipe,
Block, Paving Stone, and Retaining Wall industries have relied on our mixers for
their production.
In 1996, Parkway Manufacturing began manufacturing TEKA mixers in Virginia to better serve our customers in the U.S. and Canada, who benefit from shorter delivery times and cost savings. In 2000, the TEKA offices in NY were relocated to Chesapeake, VA where the company was renamed TEKA North America, Inc.
TEKA is a member, supporter, and participant in several industry associations which has allowed us to foster long-lasting relationships with concrete producers, and industry professionals.
